When we began working with MapR, they were a small company just beginning to make waves in big data. Today, they boast 10 locations, partnerships with Google and Amazon, and six-figure monthly traffic.
With a vast user base and massive content library, there’s a near-constant need for updates, not to mention regular overhauls—all with little room for error. As their business has scaled (and scaled and scaled), we’re proud to have supported them as a development and creative partner since 2013.

When we began with MapR, their needs were simple: craft the user experience to form the foundation of a dramatically expanded website. So we did, partnering with their developers to implement a fully responsive build.
As the company scaled in size and complexity, so have the website and the development challenges. With the site now over 5,000 pages, our role continues to evolve, from stewarding multiple generations of their eBook library, to supporting a smooth navigation between content management systems. In addition to fixing critical gaps in the user experience, we’ve enforced a strategic commitment to simplicity that has resulted in a stronger, smoother website.
